Learning About Insurance
When coming to Happy Smiles, please know that our family dental center does not determine which benefits you receive from your insurance company. Insurance companies have their own policies, set their own schedules, and they determine which fees they deem acceptable.
By law, insurance companies are required to pay each claim within 30 days of receipt. At Happy Smiles, all of our insurance claims are filed electronically, so your insurance company will receive the claim within a few days of treatment. We will collect from you whatever your insurance company is not expected to pay during your appointment. If your insurance company does not pay the claim after 30 days, you are responsible for paying the fee. We are more than happy to refund you once your insurance company has paid us.
It’s important to remember that insurance does not cover 100% of all procedures. Most of the time, insurance only pays for about 50%-80% of the average total fee. Please keep this in mind when it comes time to pay for an appointment.
